Nicholas St. John Rosse RSMA

We’re very glad to welcome Nicholas among our established gallery artists. Someone who knows the importance of draftsmanship is always welcome at the Marylebone.

It’s now some 30 years since Nicholas first got immersed in painting children on the beach. (Like so many of our artists he’s taken care to live with countryside and coast around him.) His paintings are above all natural. At the Marylebone we don’t believe in going on and on about light , balance or any other hype usually employed for established artists (apart from ours!).

The point is: - we like the work; other people like the work; Nicholas likes doing the work and now here he is, joining us in Devonshire street. So everybody’s happy, and so are his paintings, as you can see.
